We are trying to create a damp shallow wetland area to encourage wildlife. Because our subsoil is chalk we needed to prevent any rainfall being absorbed immediately so after trialling alternatives had to resort to a proper liner. Your butyl liner has created a shallow pond for now with the recent rain, but we hope that during dry spell this will dry out to encourage different types of flora and fauna.

We have a largeish pond about 4 metres by 3 metres and went for the butyl rubber liner after looking at the reviews. The idea is for the pond to be wildlife-friendly. It arrived promptly and was easy to lay, stretchy, strong and not too heavy. Great stuff and glad we chose that option. Just waiting for the plants around it to grow now!

Used a made to measure liner to repair a concrete wildlife pond that cracked and of course leaked. I took the opportunity to modify the walls to reduce the depth and bring parts down to ground level to allow the wildlife to enter and exist easily. The online ordering process was very simple. Just need to ensure you check you measurements before pressing the button. I took delivery within the advised timescale. Very happy with the product and it is now installed and holding water. The toads and newts moved in within days!
